The Leading Cause of Degradation of the Family in US is Education

The leading cause of degradation of the family in the US is rooted in our inability to protect the education of our children. We’ve allowed the Government to step in and take control of how our children are educated. Another thing is we have allowed the minority in this Country to dictate our laws and how our society should function on a public level. To the point of letting them dictate our healthcare.

We handed our schools over to the Government and allowed them to remove God, prayer and the Ten Commandments from the classroom and then expect our children to have moral values. It’s basically a miracle that we are not in worse shape. That is the primary reason we began homeschooling our children.

Private schools are also at fault because they enable the Fed by capitalizing on the circumstance to make a profit and by pulling in Federal money. If we don’t take our schools back and bring God back into the classroom it will all be in vain and we will just delay the inevitable.

From Moonbat to Wingnut

By Brian Hughes

the-wingnut-express-brian-hughes-conservatives-gop-republicans-reagan-democrats-blue-dogsLet me share with you how I went from a Moonbat (Moonbat is a term used in United States politics as a political epithet referring to progressives or leftists.) to a Wingnut (In American politics, the term is more often aimed at members of the political right.).

I grew up in Pittsburgh, PA as a Catholic, in a blue collar household of mostly registered Democrats. Most of the men in my family were either Steel Mill Workers or Coal Miners and were all Union. When I turned 18 I registered to vote and it was just automatic that I registered as a Democrat. I was not into politics very much in my young adult life, so I was ignorant to a lot and followed the trends. I always voted in the big elections but never vetted any of the candidates or really even knew anything at all about them.

The one thing I know is that I was definitely liberal. Most of my family was liberal and most of my friends were as well. If I knew a conservative I avoided them for the most part. I pegged them as weirdos, bigots and religious fanatics. Little did I know that I was going to become exactly what I resisted all those years.

When I was 25, single and a bachelor I moved to Miami for a change of scenery. 3 years later I met my wife In Houston, TX and now we have 5 beautiful kids. I inherited 2 sons from her and we have 3 together. I have to say that having kids was what started to motivate me towards politics.

At the age of 29 I became a born again Christian. As a result of studying the Bible, being mentored and conviction from the Holy Spirit my political views began to change drastically. I was turned on to Fox News and became a huge Glenn Beck fan as well as Bill O’Reilly and Sean Hannity. I was also heavily influenced by Alfonso Rachel from Macho Sauce and PJTV who is now a friend of mine through the internet. I began to share the views of those I used to ridicule.

I was shedding my liberal identity and slowly becoming more and more conservative in my values and my political ideology. I began studying American History and became a fan of David Barton from Wallbuilders. My wife and I didn’t agree with what the public schools were teaching our kids and the Godlessness that it had become since I was in school. My wife began to homeschool our kids.

I started attending local Tea Party rallies, forums and making political friends. I began to study Political Science and Government more in depth then ever before. I attend my local REC meetings and am getting involved. I built up a network of like minded Christian Conservatives and try to stay Gospel centered in the midst of it all. I have a passion to minister and evangelize to the political community.

As a result of our youngest son being diagnosed with Spina Bifida when my wife was 20 weeks pregnant and the specialist trying to coerce us into having an a abortion I am now passionately pro-life. My wife and I are actively involved with our community Christian based women’s crisis center and we are committed donors. My heart breaks when I think of how many women and couples are misinformed and manipulated into having an abortion due to birth defects and we are actively trying to raise the awareness of this issue. One of my friends who has helped me understand pro-life issues more in depth is Jannique Stewart co-host of PolitiChicks.

I am of the opinion that this coming Presidential election is one of great importance and could even be the most important election of my lifetime. I decided to start following the GOP Presidential race from the beginning. I began vetting the candidates and studying the Bible to find out what it said about voting. I will share what I found;

Good Leaders

“The God of Israel said, The Rock of Israel spoke to me: ‘He who rules over men must be just, Ruling in the fear of God. And he shall be like the light of the morning when the sun rises, A morning without clouds, Like the tender grass springing out of the earth, By clear shining after rain.’ 2 Samuel 23:3-4

“Moreover you shall select from all the people able men, such as fear God, men of truth, hating covetousness; and place such over them to be rulers of thousands, rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties, and rulers of tens.” Exodus 18:21

“Now therefore, be wise, O kings; be instructed, you judges of the earth. Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.” Psalm 2:10-11

Bad Leaders

“Confidence in an unfaithful man in time of trouble, Is like a bad tooth and a foot out of joint.” Proverbs 25:19

“A ruler who lacks understanding is a great oppressor, but he who hates covetousness will prolong his days.” Proverbs 28:16

“If a ruler pays attention to lies, all his servants become wicked.” Proverbs 29:12

“And He spoke a parable to them: “Can the blind lead the blind? Will they not both fall into the ditch?” Luke 6:39

I found a great local ministry that focused on political topics from a Christian perspective called Faith Forum. I sought counsel from 5 Christian political mentors. After fervent prayer, research, observation, counsel and careful consideration I chose to fully support Rick Santorum as President. I came to the conclusion that he was the best candidate for Christians and Conservatives alike.

Here is a video that really impacted me during the vetting process…

I wasn’t only focused on defeating President Obama but also who we would be potentially replacing Obama with. It seems like for the most part the GOP is more concerned with only defeating Obama and ignoring who they might put in his place which could end up just as bad or even worse.

I decided with my wife’s permission of course to volunteer for Santorum’s campaign which was my first time doing that. They made me a co-chair for Broward county and I helped with some event scheduling and planning. I also volunteered what I do professionally which is SEO and Internet Marketing. I wanted to help with their online identity problems they were having with Google and to make sure that Ricks website had a well marketed layout and design. I made sure they were optimized to rank high for their targeted keywords and helped them with Social Media Marketing and Blog Marketing.

I have a passion to help raise political awareness in our communities and our Church’s. Helping to educate people about our American History and current issues, locally and Nationally. I try to remember one of my favorite quotes whenever I get discouraged with politics and the process.

“All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing.” Edmund Burke

This always reminds me that there is a much bigger picture and God is in control. All I need to do is remember to show up and trust Him in the results.
